Anyone know the caliper bolt size and thread pitch on a 2001 XJ? The FSM only has the lenght.

Caliper Bolt Pin 12 Point M8x1.25
Length 2-15/16"

thanks... like a dumbass I stripped the knuckle threads. :rolleyes: Anyone know why the calipers bolt directly to the knuckle and not to an intermediate bracket? just curious

what side did you strip?
If you need a driver side knuckle or caliper bolts, let me know. I have spares of each ;)

Yo Geno you got a spare D44 shaft that's not welded in the middle.. :P

Sorry Dave, looks like all I have for a 44 is a new "in the box" set of LOADED calipers :D

Yea, I'm still waitin on them... The long shaft was welded in the middle of the shaft.. I assuemd u never had cracked a bolt on the axle.. So when do I get my calipers ???

It's the driver's side. But a friend is gonna try to tap and rethread it tomorrow. If that doesn't work then yea... I might take the knuckle off your hands. thanks

I have both driver and pass stock D44 shafts out of an 87 XJ. I am willing to part with them. Make me a fair offer if you wish to have them. I am in East Mesa if you wish to check them out.
