Welcome, hope you brought your thick skin, this group has a sick sense of humor most of the time, but is really good when you get to the roots of it.

Welcome shack,
Im sure there is a few other law enforcement officials on this board. This is a pretty good group, but we tend to get a little carried away now and then. Such is life

Welcome shack. You've already got a few strikes against you...
- you gave up a CJ for a TJ
- you live on the West side
One more and I'm afraid we'll have to ask you to leave ;)

Welcome, shack! Do you have any pull with Sedona PD? I have a "hypothetical" situation which could use a cop's input...;)
And, don't listen to Matt and Chris--we never do any teasing here. ;) :p I am insulted by the mere suggestion that any of us ever get rowdy...:D

Hi Cowgirl, I dont know any of the sedona cops, but I might be able to help with a "hypothetical" situation....by the way, I've really been looking forward to wheelin up there, how much damage did the fire cause?

X2 on this one. But since you're new, I'll let you in on a few secrets that just a few of us know....you're only cool if you drive a cj, and stalling it out on a rock and not being able to restart it without major effort (and black smoke) is highly favored among the ladies.
Learn these two things and you will go far in this club:D

For clarification, My 78 CJ5 was my favorite jeep of all time, even though I rolled it twice. I sold it out of necessity years ago and have gone without until I found this 2003 TJ Smittybuilt SEMA jeep at a price I couldn't resist! I have nothin but love for the old CJ's!!.....but I dont miss the leafsprings!

Man, another LEO on the board...
I'm a Leo too, but my zodiac sign probably doesn't impress you... :D
OK, everyone say it with me:
Admit nothing, deny everything, demand proof!
Ohh, and my favorite Bart Simpson line:
"I didn't do it, nobody seen me do it, you can't prove it!"

I will start a new thread...it's firearms related, so I'll post in that forum.

The fire was in Jacks Canyon about 8 miles south of town, on the eastern edge of the Village of Oak Creek. It took out two homes, but most of the 1600 acres was wilderness area. They did close the top of Schnebly Hill Road briefly, while they were dowsing the area by tankers, but other than that, it didn't affect any of our Jeep trails, or even popular hiking and hunting areas.
Hopefully, the monsoon season will come early. We don't count on getting any rain in the month of June, and it is only a game of roulette to see if we have more closures due to fire danger. :(
Happy trails!
