This really is a new SM 420.
Currently set up for two wheel drive.
According to Advanced Adaptors and Novak whether it is set up originally as two or 4 wheel drive makes no difference as to what transfer you are adapting it to. The main shaft will have to be replaced unless bolting up to transfer cases used in the Chevy before 1968. Dana 300, Atlas, Spicer 18, 205, and others will require main shaft change.
