What year & such is his Grand? I have a 242 in my 93 v8 ZJ right now I am going to switch out to a 231 so if his is a V8 ZJ I have what he needs most likely.

He has a 98 v8 5.2l...

that 242 has the option of 2wd right? Do you know if any of the spline is different size?

Yes 242 is 2wd/awd/4x4Hi/4x4low
there was alot of different length issues on the input shaft in the grands I am not shure if his would be the same as mine or not. I would think so since both are v8 auto combos but could not guarentee it. I am only thinking $200 for it so worst case senaro is swap the input shafts.

I am working all weird shifts right now. It is working good just like all of them it is kinda a pain in the a** to shift sometimes. I am switching in a 231 since I never really need the awd part anymore. One thing on his 98 do you know if the output shaft is set up like a YJ or a TJ? I am not shure when or if they changed to the TJ style of output on the ZJs.
Feel free to give me a call anytime (I turn it off when I am sleeping)

This year's t-case won't be a direct swap. He'll pass. ThanX anyway:)
