What's supposed to go between the hardtop and the tub?

I think I might put the hardtop back on my TJ this weekend. I remember there was a rubber or foam-type strip of black stuff between the top and the tub, but it's gone now. Do I need to put anything there? If so, what and where do I get it?

I use truck cap foam weatherstrip I picked up at True Value.

Use something thin if you want a weather proof seal , however i just bolt mine down now and go

Search for FOAM TAPE. Get the closed-cell type.

Should work OK.
