You aren't going to find anything in the 3.0+ range, but some more trails that are on par or easier than Broken Arrow. You can try the Diamondback/Greasy Spoon/Pipeline trail that is off of Boynton Pass Road between West Sedona and Cottonwood, or the very brief Soldier's Pass Trail, off of it's namesake road. There are a few others closer to Cottonwood, and Clarkdale that are more in the 4.0 range, but expect lots of brush.

Well do share what you find. But, if you are on the Rez near Leupp Rd, technically you'll need a permit.

Have you been to the top of Mt. Elden? I think there is a fire tower up there. Nothing fancy but could be a nice drive

Ever run the pipeline road up on the Peaks? Not super technical from what I've seen, but some very steep and rutted out areas with lots of loose rock. It is definitely locker-worthy. I've been on it on my bike only... but I'd like to get one of the Jeeps up there soon.

YOu should just go up North.. 15min past Page, AZ. There are a ton of neat trails back past and around Lake Powell. (BLM Land) Plus lower temperatures..
If you are looking for technical it will take a little while. Ther is a fun sorta technical trail right past the Powell Damn. If you want to know about some neat fun trails in Page give me a holler.

dang I know there are good trails in sedona but the pink jeeps and all the other tours don't want people knowing where they are. it makes me mad I mean its all forest service land and I think everyone should be able to use the trails down there.

Two options...
FOLLOW a pink jeep.
RENT a pink jeep.

What about flagstaff? Really there are no good trails? That's sort of a let down, I was hoping to get up there for some weekend trips to escape the desert heat this summer...

Go on a Pink Jeep tour and keep a GPS on the whole time. Then you can upload your track log over a topo map and have a nice map of the trails. :D

without digging out my map book, I think it was a light or two west of the turquoise arches(mcDonalds) and goes north trough some neigborhoods and on to Vultee arch trail head. Its just a gravel road so it would be ,what, a 0.5 I guess:D Sorry to get your hopes up.
To my knowlege Broken arrow and soldiers pass are as tough as it gets there. Everything else is pretty much trail rides. Nena, on the other hand would most likely know about any "worthy of a rating" trails

Thanks in advance!

Ask Nena(AKA Sedona Cowgirl) about POWERline Road, different than PIPEline Road. A little tougher but a beautiful run. Maybe a 2.5 or so. Not any harder than Broken Arrow, but a fun trail nonetheless.

If you live in Flag try going out to the Cinders its like nothing else in the state, almost like dunes. Google Cinder Hill ORV area for more info. Also if anyone has any mroe info on the pipeline trail let me know, always lookin for new trails to hit. The Cinders is all about scenery and hillclimbs but it is tons of fun and you can get yourself pretty dug in if you try. Its been really dry lately too so even the small climbs are pretty tough.

the orv park on 89a north is fun with lots of steep hills and a couple of quick trails that lead to very steep descents. good brakes and all terrains work better than my mud tires on the cinders out there.

I'm headed to Sedona Wed. for a long Thanksgiving weekend. I used to spend a lot of time there so I know some trails but I've never had my Jeep there; this will be the first time. My '01 Ford Exp. Sport Trac is too long, low and undented to handle most of the trails around Sedona.

We'll be crawling East from Moab on Sunday, I'd like to get out on the Onion Creek trail/Rose Garden Hill for a bit. I got my Sport Trac to the bottom of the Hill last spring but knew only bad things could happen if it attempted an ascent.

Wish me luck! My Jeep is stock but I've been doing this for 30 years so I know the limits pretty well.

Does anyone have any Garmin tracks they can send me of the various Sedona trails? I am going to the area end of June/beginning of July and would like to have a clue where I am going. I have the usual books and all, but would like to have the tracks. What, if any permits are necessary for the Sedona trails?

You need a Red Rock pass to park your vehicle if you want to get out on foot and look around, otherwise if just driving you don't need anything. Charles Wells book has GPS cords.
