Received from my friend, George, this am.
Tonight, my State Senator, Jim Waring stopped by my house to ask for my vote. We had a brief chat about RKBA, and discussed Governess Napolitano's veto of the emergency disarming of the citizenry. Jim advised me that they cannot override the veto because none of the Democrats will go against her, and that the Republicans are short enough seats to make an override possible. In the coming election, the three places they need to pick up seats are Pinal county, Tempe, and Yuma. While they only NEED 2 more seats, three would give them a little insurance.
Since I am on Social Security, and these locations are not within my sphere of influence, I am asking you to try to get the word out to folks in these contested locations, and try to garner some help for the Republican candidates. While I am sorely disappointed in the actions of Republicans at the federal level, I have found our local State legislators to be more faithful. Jim has promised me his support for RKBA here in Arizona, and I know that Jim Weiers, the Speaker of the House is also a faithful ally.
I know that God forbid, were we in Arizona to experience a disaster, and the Governess tried to confiscate MY firearms, I would surely die, for my signature line means more to me than just words. So she has in so many words told us that we can EXPECT confiscation if she ever thinks we "need" such illegal oppression, "for our own good", of course. So, only if we can gain enough seats in the legislature, can we get another bill passed to prevent such despotism and override her veto.
We shall see how the "Castle Doctrine" bill fares with Governess Napolitano, as well as SB1145.
Please, try to do whatever you can to get Republicans the needed three added seats in our State legislature.
(Blind copies of this sent to those I know personally to be active or at least sympathetic regarding RKBA in Arizona)
Thank you.
