The experimentation starts....

So Rachel brought over her rather large Great Dane to mingle and get the sent of my rather small fat cat.

I figured my cat would run off, open the closet door and to my surprise, she stood her ground hissing, puffing up and glaring the pup down instead. Starting on the floor and working her way to the couch than the cat condo, she keep a watchful eye on the pup. For the most part they got along great, with the exception of the very end when I let Hazard siff my kitty's rear end once too often. She ended up getting a swat after the cat wiggled free some and tried to make a move for the other side of the couch.

We even left the two of them alone for an hour while we went to dinner. Came back and my cat was still on the condo and the pup was alive on the floor with no signs of injury. :D

Overall it was a great first meeting, my kitty just needs to get used to the pup and all will be good. :D The pup seems fine with the cat. Awwww, the start of a beautiful friendship. :p

Over the years, my wife and I have had dogs, cats and parrots all the living together.

The parrots would eventually be "top dog" of the group, but no deaths or injuries!!:D

We just have cats now but would like a bulldog for a "Jeep Dog" but too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$. :rolleyes:
