Hey everybody. I live in El Dorado, Ks right now. Close to Wichita. Within a month or so we should be there in the Phoenix area. Waiting on the house to sell. Not sure of the exact area around phoenix yet. Still lookin for jobs ect... My fiance has a guarenteed job there so i have to get something pretty quick. Anybody know the area for decent schools around there? My oldest will be in Kindergarden.
I have a 88 YJ right now. Thinkin about selling it before the move and find another YJ or CJ when we get there. Are there alot of them around there for a good price?
Thanks, Jesse

Is your fiance's name Dorthy? :D
Couldn't resist! OK, 1 more!
Should have titled this thread "Toto, We're not going to be in Kansas anymore" :D
Decent schools depend on decent money, really. If you're poor white Jeeptrash like me, you live in neighborhoods where they sell/manufacture crack next door, and do drive-by's on your cross the street neighbors house.
The gangster element in my 'hood get disoriented easily, and shoot at the wrong house...
In short, Someone else will have to advise you on schools.
As far as your Jeep goes, If it's an auto with a 6 Cylinder, I wouldn't sell it unless it's really rusted out or something...
There are allot of Jeeps around, but "Good Price" is kind of relative... If you seek to buy in the summer months, you'll have a better chance of picking one up for a good price...

LOL yea i was ready for the OZ jokes. LOL
I kinda figured that would be a toss up on schools.
My jeep is a 4.2 5sp No ac.Figured with the highways ect... down there mabey a jeep wouldnt be the best thing. However not sure if i can part with it. LOL
We are either going to move this summer (before the baby) of after the baby which is aug 23. However then we are making out oldest change schools. Kind of a toss up. We are shooting for this summer though in all honestly. We are getting everything cleaned ect.. now and going to have a garage sale in about 2 weeks. Which what we get in that will be going straight towards the move. I still have alot of car parts to sell as well before that. Im sure we will be going into a apt when we first get there.

Don't do it. Jobs are overrated. Let her work and make all the money and you just work on your jeep all day. :D
Welcome aboard. I came from KC myself 6 years ago. Don't know about the schools sorry I don't have any kids and if I did they probably wouldn't let them in school. They'd have to be home schooled by Wildcat. :D
I'm sure your going to pay more for a rig out here than you are in KS. So you might as well keep it. Hell we're just all used to 10 MPG around here so we don't even think twice about cruisin the 5 lane parking lots all day long.

Moving out in the summer?(Insert evil laugh here!) Keep the Jeep, just have to get used to the heat with no A/C. Boy are you in for a treat. Just remember "It's a dry heat!"(Insert evil laugh again!)

Actually, the Gilbert School District is one of the better down here. Higley also.
We have two daughters, one of which just started school but we're glad to be in the Gilbert district. Here's a site with some skill level comparisons of Gilbert SD against state averages. You can also plug in other school districts to check them as well.

As for the Jeep, you don't need AC. I drive a CJ with no AC
