I went with tre's on my hi steer D60. The biggest reason was the availability of the ends. I am running hydro assist also and haven't broken on yet (knocking on wood).
If I was running a linked suspension with hiems, I would have chosen hiems instead. Less spares to carry.

I can't remember what they charged. Something like $7/per foot for the AL and about $25/end to machine, the receipt says, $153 for the finished AL. The TRE's from 4 Wheelers Supply are about $140.
The expensive things were the arms, flat top knuckles machined, studs, cone washers & spacers, about $400.
Since I added the J20 steering box and bumped the pressure up in the pump, my CJ turns/drives better than my TJ. I, for some reason, can also turn sharper than my TJ too. I was going to ask someone if this turning radius is a liability if I only use the CJ off road.
