Hello All,
Jim Florence is leading a Terminator (Upper) trail run on Saturday, June 16, 2001.
When: 6:00 A.M.
Where: West side of the Freeway at the normal spot
Rating: 4.0+
Length: 4 to 5 Hours
CB Channel: 4
Several members were looking for a run in the Table Mesa area so this will be one. Come on out we will try and get an early start to beat some of the heat.
Upper Terminator can best be described as:
Rocks, waterfalls, off-camber spots and more rocks! Big Rocks.
Whereas there are several by-passes, even the by-passes have taken it's toll on sheet medal and paint.
This trail definitely requires full hard lockers in front and rear, lots of clearance, aggressive tires 33" or larger and an experienced driver.
Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

Where is the "normal spot" to meet up for a Terminator run? Is
it right off of the freeway on the west side of the road, or is it a

Upper Terminator? Thanks for the help.

I just got a Lock-Right for the front end D-30 of the 92 YJ Renegade.
I'm gonna install it tomorrow, and if the Jeep Gods are smiling, I might
be out at raw deal testing it Saturday night. I got the shaft too.
I still need to make a Auto-Zone run for gear oil and RTV. I do have
the 12-point 1/4-inch wrench I had to buy to do the D-35 cross shaft
[not sure if I need that tool]
Any other tools I should need? Any words of wisdom?

Hey Russ,
Did you happen to get a new cross shaft, or are you using the one
that's already in your carrier? You probably don't have a bolt
retaining your front cross shaft; it's probably a roll pin, so the
wrench may be unnecessary. (I learned all of this from Dave Burke,
watching him install my front Lock-Rite!) Good luck- hope it goes
right in.

Hello All,
Joe West is leading a Florence Junction Area trail run on Sunday, June 17, 2001.
When: Sunday, June 17th (Father's Day)
Where: Florence Junction Area... many trails to choose from; which one we do will be by popular vote.
Rating: 2.0+
Length: 1/2 Day
CB Channel: 4
I need to do a trail run... and the Florence Junction area offers everything from class 2 to class 5. We'll taylor the trail to the group who signs up for the run.
I'm thinking we'll meet at the Texaco around 6am to 8am and then decide which run to do based on the group.
If you have any questions; you can contact me on my cell at (602) 524-7632.
Joe West
Also known as the Arizona State Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs (ASA4WDC) Jamboree site, the Florence Junction area offers a multitude of trails in varying degrees of difficulty. The variety of available trails is one reason the ASA4WDC has its annual Jamboree there.
There are trails for beginners in relatively stock vehicles like Foothills ,Martinez Cabin,Myers (Ajax) Loop,Pictograph Wash, andSunset point.
There are also a variety of Moderate trails like Ajax (Lower),Box Canyon,Coke Ovens,Flat Tire Canyon,Jack Handle, andOrville's Loop.
Then, of course, there are the Extreme trails likeAjax (Upper),Axle Alley,Highway To Hell,Jaw Breaker,Martinez Canyon,Woodpecker (Lower), andWoodpecker (Upper).
In addition to the trails named above, there a alot of unnamed trails, most of which are old mining roads. Please stay on existing trails and remember to TREAD LIGHTLY!

I am nearly out of decals. I am going to order from a local shop since I had so much trouble with the last batch. The shop owner suggested we consider 5 colors to brighten up the decal. It would also brighten up the cost by about 70 cents each. I will post a sample and take a vote in a week or 2. The changes would be to have black replace the dark brown (wheels and outline), add a drop shadow (black) to the Arizona and the URL, and have a brighter color yellow inside the word Arizona.
Any thoughts? Should I stay with the decal we have today or should we spruce it up a bit??
