View Full Version : Welcome Tamminaz
I found a jeeper over on one of my mc boards and while she had signed up before I got her to come back.
Lets see if we can lure her out of Lurk Mode:D
I forgot to metion her Jeep is a Virgin, it has never been off-road. We may have to do something about that.. Like hook her up with Jamie and Rachel. They should get her started :D

LOL...Should I be afraid of Jamie and Rachel?
Thanks, Yogi. I'm AZjeepgirl here as you can see.I appreciate the welcome and I'm pretty excited about meeting new jeepers. And my "Wave" Arm is pretty tired here in AZ. :D Good grief, I've never seen so many Jeeps in my life.
Ok, so a teensy bit about me.
35, married, live in The Boonies aka Queen Creek (It's gorgeous but what was I thinking?). As Yogi mentioned, I also ride. I have a 2006 Honda Shadow VLX Deluxe and I've been riding for 6 months. I have 3200 miles on her and now I have my two perfect vehicles.
I've owned 2 jeeps in my lifetime, a '93 back in Jersey and now a '99 TJ which I've dubbed "Ebony Princess". I found her when I was bringing my VW Cabriolet into the shop at LeSeur's in Tempe. I'd been wanting a Jeep cause I'd seen so dang many on the road here and as I pulled into the parking lot all pissed cause the VW needed a new clutch, "The Princess" was all majestic looking and shiny and I heard that angel music when I laid eyes on her. Shiny Black with lots of Chrome...yaaaayyyy!
My only issue is that she's an automatic. UGH...that's been eating at me for years. I would like an exact replica of her with a manual trans or a CJ. Oh and I can't get a lift cause there wouldn't be enough clearance to get into the parking garage at work...sigh.
Anyway, I'm ready to find out what's so great about 4-wheelin'!
That might have been more than you all wanted to know:p
I look forward to meeting you folks and hopefully will get to the Monastery for the East Side get together on Friday.
C Ya!

Shiny? Chrome? That won't last long if you plan on wheelin in AZ, and if you start crawlin, your left foot will appreciate that auto. Anywho, welcome and start scratching her up!:D

Umm... no, WE should be afraid!!
Actually, Rachel is cool, just don't follow her...
As far as the Auto... Keep it, and don't let anyone talk you out of it.
As far as the chrome goes, hey, if it makes you happy, it just tickles us all plum to death! :D
As far as what's so great about wheelin'... Nothin'. The scenery here isn't as good as Jersey, the weather is usually rainy and gloomy, people here are impolite, if you wheel your Jeep then break it, you have to work on it...and they'll tease you about it and not offer to help you fix it.
You'll probably end up like me and sell your Jeep so you can afford to take up modern knitting and contemporary Ballet... I should post a pic of me in my Tu-Tu...
Ooops, that's probably more than you want to know...:D

This thread is oh so close to turning into a auto vs. manual thread. :)
OK for Queen Creek.
Another (past) biker here, been biking for a lot of years but sold it after getting our '01 TJ, and back to 4 wheelin'!
Keep the auto, been there (when younger), done that.

the difference between Manual & Auto Tranny's....................................
Auto's change into women's clothing by themselves...........
Manual's need you to do it for them.......

You Wheelers got a lot of jokes, huh? No, that's fantastic cause though I'm new, you must remember this: 2 Jersey girls equal serious hiney whooping!!! Everyone hear that????
Wind Danzer,
I take it, then that you are Jamie? Doooood..finally. I was hoping you'd show up soon. I'm from Edison. But lived all over Middlesex County till finally just saying screw it and moving out here for a major change.
As far as the SCRC, I've had several folks recommend them (but not Arizonans) and I've been scoping the G.R. of Women on Wheels. For now, I just wanna ride. I'll figure out the Club stuff later. And till then ride with whomever lets me ride with them.
That'd be sah-weet to ride & "observe" the 4-wheelin' with you at first..heh heh...anytime!:D
Lowtech and Shnipe: ahhhhh...ya' made yer point...yeesh. Did I mention I'm new here????
Yogi Thanks for bringing me. I'm having a blast already. Can't wait to see what "locked and loaded" entails.:D

French,
ROTFLMAO.
Tammi,
I'm familar with the Edison area as my Parents grew up in Linden and Rahway and I was born in Union. My parents taught in the Rahway district fresh out of college till they retired and my Grandparents lived in Elizabeth till Grandma died. Now Grandpop lives with my Uncle right off St. George Ave I believe in the Union/Elizabeth area.
I grew up though in Hunterdon County, near Clinton, Flemington and Phillipsburg.
Seriously, look me up if you wanna wheel or ride. I work funky hours but try to mostly get Saturdays and sundays off as that seems to be the only time most of these hobby people with "real" jobs have. :p
