little helpo with rockers tonighto

installing new rockers...they bolt on on the side that's it...drilling involved as well as hammering all the small dings and big dings to fit 'em:eek:

I'd like to help you out (with the beer), but looks like I'm working late tonight. I just put some rocker panels on mine - stock black diamond plate off a new Rubicon. Drilled 5 holes in each side but it also bolted to the frame underneath in 5 places - lined up with existing holes. It was a ***** getting the nuts on cause you had to slide them inside the frame through the bigger drain holes and hold them in place to start threading the bolt. There were 2 on each side so far in I had to wrap stiff wire around it and guide it in to the bolt. Major PITA! But I got it done.

I guess you got everything else installed OK? I was reading on your progress and, man, you got a lot done in a short time! :eek: I'm not all that mech inclined, but I like doing it and I get very determined to 'get 'er done'. I think I spent like 4 hours just on the rocker panels - including distractions, tool search time, and general staring-with-head-tilted-sideways, bewildered look on face, scratching, and talking to myself asking 'How the @!*$ is this supposed to go in there?' and 'What do you mean my open face wrench set doesn't have a @!*$?^# 15, 16 or 18mm?' :confused: We learn as we go, I guess. :rolleyes: I'd like to wheel with you tomorrow, I usually have Tues off, but not this Tues apparently. Have to go to Tucson with a client all day. I could wheel maybe Wed if you're up for it.

Wed is my job search day..gotta make some dough if i wanna keep heeping!!! But I'm down for anything after that.
