View Full Version : Eastsideaz Week of 4/10-4/16
Well Matt posted about a car Show on the 15th;
[I]I'm going to try and get my CJ road worthy enough to drive over and join him if I can (even though the only category I could possibly win would be "most rock rash"). I don't care about winning anything as much as I do helping out a worthy cause. The link below has info.

Tom, thats the trail we were on this past weekend. Powerline and Hackberry Creek are the same trail. The trail your thinking of that you need a permit for is Willow Springs/Bulldog Canyon.:)

Thanks!
I thought if maybe it was a short run I would give it a try but I have to get ready for a business trip this weekend.

I got to stay home and take care of my sick wife. Oh well. She would have done the same for me.
So was it a big turnout?

Always great meeting up with other Jeepers, seen a few I knew, met a few new people, and put a few faces with there names on here. Had a great time. Tammi was the only one with a camera so hopefully she will get them on here.

It was a small turnout, but I think the wind may have scared some people away. We ended up sitting upstairs in an inside room so I hope we didn't miss anybody. I kept looking out for red shirts, but I think everyone eventually found their way. It was good to meet a few new people.

I finally made it about 8pm. I knew a few people had to still be there from the Jeeps in the parking lot, but it took me about 15 minutes to find the group upstairs. About 12 people or so - red shirts were a big help. Nice to meet all of you fellow east siders. Lookin forward to a little wheelin with you!
Yeah the red shirts helped. Probably need to make that a suggestion on the next one that everyone where their red's so newbies like me can find you:D

Really sorry for the delay in posting the pix. I'm a last-minute do-it-yourself-tax-dummy. It was great meeting you all, by the way.
Ok, I think I attached them correctly. Sorry about names. I remember Kelly, Kevin, Tom and (is Sue your wife's name?) My fault, didn't say it twice...heh heh.
If you guys wanna identify yourselves I can rename the pix.

I think Kevin (half of kkhop) is on the far right? The bald guy looks like Scott Kruize, but I know it wasn't him.

The middle-man in this shot is me, David C. I'm still fairly new to the club, but I'm meeting more of you slowly but surely. I've lived in the East Valley for about 27 years. In high school (Apache Jct - yes, I know...:rolleyes: ) I rode along on a few trips with the Mesa 4-Wheelers club, with my friend Wayne in his 78 CJ-5 and his parents, Bill and Amy in their CJ-7. That's how I gained a huge respect for Jeeps, and I've wanted one ever since. Finally got one in October and I'm lovin' every minute of it - wheelin', breakin', fixin' and modifyin'. It was great talking with Special K, Sweet T, Kevin and Kelly who have also lived in the East Valley for a while. We were remembering when Power and McKellips was nothing but a lone Circle K out in the booneys, the last stop before the river and Saguaro Lake! Also, nice to meet Dave O and the guys from Simply Offroad and Tammy, our photographer - nice pics, btw. :)
Tammi, you had it right my wifes name is Sue, also known as BooBoo:D
