April seems to be the month for these. Last weekend was the Girl Scout show, there is one on the 15th to benefit Special Olympics and another on the 22nd for Wild Animals.

Last weekend seemed to have a decent turnout and another thread indicates lots of folks plan to attend the one for Wild Animals, yet I haven't heard much talk of the one to benefit Special Olympics. There is a trip post for it on the old site (when it's up) but last I looked, only the poster was signed up.

Does everyone here have something against Special Olympics or does everyone just happen to be busy on the 15th?

Maybe it's location thing. The other two shows are north side and this one is in Ahwatukee. So where are all the East siders? Let's step up and help these guys out.

I'm going to try and get my CJ road worthy enough to drive over and join him if I can (even though the only category I could possibly win would be "most rock rash"). I don't care about winning anything as much as I do helping out a worthy cause. The link below has info.

Edit: I talked to Les Finkel (organizer) and he's going to update his event postings to include the Jeep category.

There is also on this weekend, Sunday April 9th at the Peoria Sports Complex benefitting the Peoria Firefighter's Charities.

Roll In: 8-10am
Show: 10am-2pm
Cost: $20 (No Pre-registration)

As for the one in the East Valley, I had not even heard about it and already have plans. If they fall through I will come out to that show. Not sure if I am going to enter the one tomorrow, will be a last minute decision.

Ok, last second decision...

I am going to the Peoria Firefighters car show today... Hope to see a few others... I heard a rumor last week there was going to be a rock pile there, and a demo, not sure if we can take our rigs through...

1) Can't support everything, so you pick a 1 or more you feel you want to support and let it go at that.

2) Yes, I suspect that location does have something to do with it.
