I am going up to Blue Ridge Reservoir are this Fri, Sat. and Sun,. for some
camping and fishing and casual 4 wheeling. Perhaps some others may be
interested. Elevation is 6,700 ft., so it will be cool camping at
night...bring a sweatshirt. Will wheel around Knoll Lake area as well. Also
along FR 300, 137, 139.May also go up to Kinnikinick Lake and / OR Amhurst
Lake area. My 7 yr.old son and I will be in lifted yellow wrangler with the
ugly ( but highly functional) luggage rack. We will be fishing and kicking
back.

One last time before it goes on ebay. I have droped the price to $500.

For you Jeep folks with a 4.2 or 258 six that is not computer controlled I
have a Holley pro-injection unit for sale. It is model #501-12S. Mostly new,
wiring harness, fuel filters and fuel pump are new. The throttle body and
computer are slightly used, about 2-3 months. I paid $780 and will let it go
for $500. If you want add performance out of your six pulse be able to run
at any angle this is the way to go. I will even help you set it up.

Anyone have some experiance with Access? I have a database that needs to
have the password taken off, since I don't know it. It is in Access 97
professional.

Thanks, and sorry for the OT post, I have tried a few other pc groups, but

Do a web search for something like "MS Access password" and you will
find a number of tools (several free) to crack the pw.

Good lord, find some new groups, 'cause if they can't even search,
they're not very 1337.

Kelly - Join the Yahoogroups "DirtDebs" - it's a group of girls up there
that goes out at least once a month. There's actually a couple guys on
the list too, and it's becoming a pretty decent little group of
people. It's pretty much the whole northwest. If other groups are
going out (the boeing group, timber tamers, etc) are going out it usually
gets posted on there. Also Check out www.PNW4WDA.org and look for some
clubs up there. Have fun in the NW - I'm jealous!!!

Subject: Desert Rat - No Discount

I thought I read it here that Desert Rat was giving AZVJC members a discount
(or maybe I dreamed it). Guess not. I just came from the Desert Rat in
Tempe. Eric Vos and Rick de Ruyter were behind the counter and 100%
positively said Desert Rat doesn't give club discounts. Eric seemed a little
arrogant, stating they don't need to give discounts since they are already
the lowest priced shop in town.

I really don't care about discounts. I just want to be given the lowest
price to me the first time. I really hate this "We'll beat anyone's price"
game.

I know this topic has been covered many times before. Just wanted to clarify
that Desert Rat DOES NOT give a club discount (according to the two people
behind their counter).

I can pretty much guarantee that Desert Rat won't have the lowest
prices around.

I've vowed to myself that I'll never step foot in one of their stores
again: Prices suck, customer service REALLY sucks, and the selection
sucks.

Depending on what you need, the best place to find the best deal is
usually on-line. The savings in tax will sometimes take care of most
of the shipping charges.

If you are planning to host a trail cleanup, run, or any OHV related

The advertising firm that is doing the State Parks OHV campaign is
looking to publicize events on the website that promote positive OHV

Pretty much backing up what Brent says. Desert Rat has the worst
customer service I've ever personally witnessed. I've vowed to never
set foot in one of their stores again, even if they were giving parts
away.

Plus, 4Wheelers or ORU can generally beat DR's pricing anyway.

Well the one's here in Tucson advertise in the Tucson Rough Rider

but when I went in with cash in my hand and the National Magazine

to not honor the advertisement. I also will never give them my $$$$$$

Chris,

I am still trying to find John Rabenius on the members list. Did he change
his name from a previous registration? Since "John has been a member for
quite sometime..."

PS - My apologigies to John and the group if I took something out of
context. I would bet one thing though, playing in a dirt lot is not a moving
violation therefore it does not add points to your driving record, just as a
parking fine doesn't (not sure though).

Chris,

My information, regarding membership, was taken from the AZVJC member list.
Unless, due to construction, his name has been deleted from there.

Your other points are taken. I probably misread the message but, it sounded
a little condescending to me.

Thanks,
--James

James,

Not sure where you got your info, but John has been a member for quite some
time and unless he recently quit still is.

While tipping the hat a bit by making the call might upset a few he was
trying to be a friend by warning those who may attend of the potential
citations(and these can be costly). To me someone who is trying to save me
some coin and giving me a warning of the potential hazard of the citations
is a friend.

That said it does not mean you have to listen, you can still go wheel there,
if you get caught play dumb and maybe you can get out of it, then again
maybe you won't. At least with John's research you will know what to expect
if an officer shows up.

Basically he was letting you know the potential consequences of your
actions, he was not telling you not to do, just trying to let you know what
the potential outcome might be.

So James if we are all trying to be friends maybe you should tone down your
responses. You yourself could have used your advice and been a little nicer
in your response if you had taken to heart the "Friends" theme.

In either case have fun whether you go or not.

If anyone is looking for these wheels the Discount on 43rd AVE and Bell has
3 of them they will give away. You must call fast as the junk man cometh.
Call Rick at
602-978-9686. Rick thought he remember someone in the club looking for these
but did not know who.

I refuse to belong to any group that would have me as a member!
