I wanted to pass on some sad news about about Becky Hopper. She passed away Thursday Morning of Cancer. For those that know Jimmy and Becky you know the two were joined at the hip. They have been wheeling in Arizona since 1966 or so. Becky was always riding shot gun and yelling at Jimmy when he got a little tippy. Friends of the family and fellow four wheelers will be setting up an accout for those who wish to help with funeral expenses. Jimmy is a very proud man but has had a tough year fighting the city of Tempe over his business and the light rail and medical expenses for Becky. I will post more information as I get it. We and the Family appreciate any prayers and thoughts you all have.

Barry

This is the Hoppers Auto WE all talk about around this board. I have had the pleasure to selling parts and making friends with the Hoppers for the last 8 years. You mention the Hopper name in drag racing, sand dunes, and wheeling, and you will here nothing but good things about all the Hoppers. From a wheelers stand point we are losing many of the local shops that can tackle task within our industry. Thankfully there are good people here that will help with the funeral cost, but we need to keep Hoppers rolling. Barry hit the subject of the city giving Hoppers trouble mainly regarding the light rail. But please help them out with even the smallest jobs, from oil changes to buying parts. Thanks for everyones help. Cole

This is so sad..... words cannot express my sorrow.

This is the first I have heard about it. I would have expected to to hear something from some others I know. Becky was such a caring lady and I am not sure what Jimmy will do with out her. Thank God for other family members, little Jim and Jamie.

I can't believe it. Becky told my wife and I 2 weeks ago, she thought she wasn't going to make it. I didn't believe her, but I still gave her a kiss on the cheek and told her I would pray for her.

It won't seem the same to see Hopper without Becky. I knew things must be bad when they both didn't show up for the Cinders cleanup. :( My condolences go out to family and friends.

Thanks for sharing; Barry.

My heartfelt condolences to the Hopper family and their friends. I only met Jim once when he did some work on my CJ. I may have met Becky if she was the nice lady working the counter when I dropped it off. That was over a year ago.

I will do what I can to help out and will certainly continue to bring my business to him.

Thanks for organizing this; Barry. I've been in touch with some of the Cinders crowd and now I can let them know. :)

Oh man... Becky's gone? Oh that sucks!
My thoughts are with you Jimmy. We've met a few times over the years, and you two were always great folks.
Sorry that I didn't read this until after all was done.

Be well, and be strong Jimmy.
