Besides, www.forrent.com and www.apartmentguide.com where can I find apartments/condos/town homes that will allow large animals.

I'm having problems locating apartments in the north/east valley and don't honestly know how to search for condos/town homes. :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Used to live @ Somerset, now named Franks on Shea...North West corner of Shea blv and Frank Loyd R./114th street

Last I knew they accepted anything less than 35lbs.
Don't know if the apartment/condo complex has improved sinced last year...Just don't get #2025...w/ the west sided bedroom...I used to get bored and poke big holes through the wall...

They have heated pool, jacuzzi, gym, tanning, 'rent the office for parties', garages....If the pool is too cold the apartment complex across the street has a nice heated one...in fact go check there, it'older but I like their pool better:)

think the address is 11375 East Sahuaro Dr. Scottsdale, az 85259

I used apartment hunters about 4 years ago.. My Dog was over 100lbs.
They only found me apts in the area I wanted that excepted large animals.
Didn't cost me a dime..

I don't, I have Satan's cat but possible roomie has large dog.

Dave, when I'm back in town, I'll check on apartment hubnters. When I first moved out here I tried that but they SUCKED. Talk about basically taking me to the areas of town that suck compared to here.

You have to be overly specific.. Details!!!!!! they make a commission off of you signing a lease from the apt complex..Not from you.. so it's in thier best interest to get you what you want.. Good luck.

Would love to rent a house, but we are trying to save some money. If there is a house available for the right price, that would be ideal.

I found www.realtor.com and Rick Beer has told us about a few places near him at what sounds pretty decent in prices.

Fatbob,

No spare cash aside for buying a house.

A house would be cool though if we can find one. I like the idea of garage and wrenching!!! :D :D :D

There are some town homes at 59th Ave North of Thunderbird on the East side of 59th. My wifes step sister just rented a place in there, some have 2 car garages. She said there are some renting for about $1200, has a small yard fenced too.

Thanks but that's out of our price range Chris. :)

Bob, Have you seen the prices of houses lately ??? I know I got priced out 2 years ago.. http://www.zillow.com/ is a great tool to see the estimated value of any house you are looking at.. New builds on the out skirts of town are rediculious any more.. 5 years ago you could buy an 80k dollar house..
Now it's more like 280K.... unless you want to live in the Ghetto....

I really like this place Paradise Lakes Apartments (http://tinyurl.com/ky92c). I went and saw their largest 2 bed/2 bath floorplan today and it really is pretty nice, especially on the first floor where you get a yard. It does increase the rent 15 bucks but that's not to big of a deal. Rachel has yet to take a gander at it but I'm hoping she likes it, especially since the yards come with a water faucet so she can hose her pup down.

It's a huge complex, 2nd biggest in the country and the biggest in AZ. It has car wash areas (good for after Jeepin' for all those that complain about my Jeep :p), a separate cardio and weight rooms, locker rooms with lockers bathrooms and a sauna, 4 pools, 4 spas, a billiards room, movie rentals, convenience store, salon, 48 seat movie theater that shows new releases to video every Friday night, dry cleaning service, ample parking and once it is all said and done it was relatively quiet for such a large complex. None of the apartments are over

Two bedroom apartments come with wood burning fireplaces so that saves bucks in the winter on heat and the apartments are relatively large in size. All apartments come with washer/dryers and only one is over 900 bucks (the one I saw today would be $910 with the yard) and that's w/o the special pricing going on right now.

I personally like the small 2 bedroom as it has a larger yard to it and the layout is a little different but their second largest one has a door on the second bedroom that will make the "community" bathroom more private like a master bath.

I really do like this community, now Rachel needs to check it out and we can go from there. :D

K, I'll look at it Friday am. I'll call for an appointment.
A yard, A? Hazzard likes the sound of that.
