Well, I'm a total slacker and just finally getting around to posting up some kind of trip report for our Feb trip to Arizona. I especially feel like a slacker when Barry posted up his trips with us the very next day. :) Sorry if some of these trails don't qualify as 4.0s and above...I was too lazy to try to figure out what belonged where.

We spent 6 days wheeling in Arizona... 3 days in the Florence Junction area and 3 days in the Table Mesa area. What a nice change from the cold & snow up in Colorado. We'll definitely be visiting you guys again some day!

Day 1: We did Overdose and Bad Medicine with Barry (xFallen) and Don (SavageSun4x4). Barry posted up a trip report:

Thanks again to both Barry & Don for leading us around. We had a great time! I snapped a hub on the last obstacle of Bad Medicine but managed to limp out. We swapped in a spare back at camp and I was ready to go the next day.

Day 2: We took Box Canyon up from Florence and then did Martinez Cabin & Martinez Canyon. I really enjoyed the scenery along the Martinez Canyon trail. Beautiful, rugged country!

Cody & Zane parked in Box Canyon:

Great views near the top of Martinez Canyon:

Day 3: We did Lower Woodpecker and then Highway to Hell. Highway to Hell was a great trail.

Me (yeah I know it's a poser shot, but it's like pulling teeth to get one of the guys to get out and take my picture):

Day 4: We met up with Barry again to run Anaconda and Collateral Damage. Andrew (didn't catch his last name) also joined us and entertained us with his "never give in" attitude on the big waterfall on Collateral Damage. :) Funny, it didn't take much arm twisting to get Barry to take a day off work to come wheel with us. We also took a look at Twisted. Although tempting, we decided to save that one for next time. At the end of the day, we took a quick run through Raw Deal, at least until I snapped a hub anyway (the other hub this time). I limped out and we swapped out the hub at the hotel. My spare was already on my Jeep, so luckily Cody had a spare for me to use.

And here's my favorite picture of the day:

Day 5: We did Lower Terminator, Upper Terminator, Judgment Day, & Predator.

At the end of Predator, the guys were ready to just start right up Annihilator, but I talked them into walking it first. After walking it, we decided to leave it for another trip. Maybe when I stretch my wheelbase....

Day 6: We wanted a short day, so we decided to run Collateral Damage again, since it was so much fun the first time. Boy, it sure seemed like if I only had a few more inches of wheelbase, I coulda made that big waterfall! Another excuse to modify the jeep some more...

Ok, I'm obviously image-challenged. Anybody want to tell me what I'm doing wrong with the pictures?

By doing a "View Page Source" we can see the links to the pics that aren't appearing, eg...

http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2108859119&idx=77

But entering the link just brings us to the Image Station login page. They may not support remote linking to images, but you could do a "share album" thing and send it to yourself, then post the link it sends you in this thread.

Hey there Dale!

I think Imagestation has an issue with off-site links but I am not sure. The album link worked great though.

I still think back to the fun on the two full days of runs in FJ and TM. We had a blast. It was great wheeling with you guys -- you know how to do it right. :D

I am seriously thinking of taking you guys up on the suggestion of meeting up maybe in NM sometime or whereever. I need to get a tow rig sorted out but Las Cruces is probably doable at some point, huh?

Thanks for sharing the pix and the report.

Heck ya! We seriously need to get back to Las Cruces sometime. Or Farmington's about halfway in between!

Great pics, Dale. Maya looked like she was having way too much fun. Before you know it she'll be driving your junk :)

Don't I know it! At least another TJ ought to be fairly cheap in about 14 years. :D Or I can hand down my old junk and get myself the latest & greatest.

She does pretty well riding along as long as we keep moving. Sometimes it's kind of funny when you're trying to drive a tough obstacle and she's over there babbling away. Now if I could just get her to stop trying to eat rocks when we get out of the Jeep....
