Well spring break is coming up for me and I have requested March 22-25 off work. I would like to go 4 wheeling at least once during this time. I don't how to get to any good trails and I'm not really capable of being a trip leader. I'm in a stock XJ so It's gotta be somthing easy. Any suggestions?

Are you open to doing more scenic stuff or did you want harder trails a stocker could do?

Honestly, I could go for anything. I would love to do something exciting, but at the same time I don't really have any proper recovery equipment yet so I am open to any suggestions (As long as its not a trip around the 101 :D)

damn... the 101 is an adventure!!!
I'd look towards the Sedona trails (talk to Nina here on the boards SedonaCowgirl), then you have the really easy trail/scenic run through the back country on Castle Hot Springs Rd. and even some of the TM trails are actually scenic runs that a stocker could do.
If you are off tomorrow you are more then welcome to join me and a few others on Castle Hot Springs Rd.

Damn... I would love to go, but not only do I work, but I have school during the week as well. As of now I am confined to wheeling on weekends, but I always work weekends, so I have to request the day off 1-2 weeks in advance! I wish I could just up and go, but I'll have to plan a trip in advance. Thank you very much for the invitation though :D

Steve,
Meeting at the Crown King airdown spot (right off the pavement) between 9:30 and 10am. Should only take a few hours so there will be time to do more if you want to find some harder stuff. Personally I just want to get out and just be outside for part of the day around no one but Jeepers.
Tick,
No problemo. Just keep your eyes on the board and see if there are things posted that you could join in on. Of course if someoen has a free seat, you might be able to snag that to check out some of the harder trails.

...just saw this thread. Tick, if you are looking to wheel this Sat 3/18, I just posted a request for a trip leader for the Table Mesa area. We're in the same boat as you: looking to do a moderate, fun trail, without high probability of carnage. :D
If you are interested in joining us, post up on the thread! If we can't get a leader for Table Mesa, we will probably do Crown King or another trail close by. Either way, we will be wheeling!

I work on saturday, but I will see if I can work the "night shift." What time do you think we would be getting back???

Sorry, I mis-read the dates you wanted to wheel. We are still planning to wheel somewhere on Saturday, but since no one has chimed in yet to show us the ropes out at Table Mesa, we are still not sure where we are going. If we get no bites, we may end up just exploring in either the Table Mesa area or the White Tanks, since both are close to town. We will probably make a decision at the last minute. Let me know if you are still interested in going. We will be heading out early (7am or so) and trying to finish by 5pm.

Spring break...What is that?
It's for business majors. :D The rest of us are working hard on projects or doing research.
