OK, I've looked, does anyone know of a site that shows how an 8.8 compares to other axles?
I'm looking at going to a 60, but I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater......
Might be cheeper to just upgrade the 8.8.:D

One of the "old timers" did one on JU a couple of years ago. You might want to do a search there.
{Edit} Here is one thread, although not the one I was looking for:

This isn't exactly what you're looking for but you'll find a comparison of the Ford 8.8 to the stock Dana 35...at least the YJ version...here:

What are you trying to compare the 8.8 to?
The 8.8 is not going to be as strong as a D60, but it is stronger than a D35c and D44.
Positive to the 8.8 over the D35c and D44
Stronger axle housing
Stronger carrier
Beefier ring and pinion
Stronger axle shafts
Bigger brakes
Positive of the D44 over the 8.8
D44 is not a C-Clip
Positive of the D35c over the 8.8
Are you kidding me that are none.
Not sure if this helps. PM me and I can send you a cost break down on how much it cost. If you are thinmking full width I know where there is a set of D44 axles for sale.
