I hope that more people come out with tanks like that so that the prices will come down a little. Very cool idea but $700 for the tank plus $250 for the skid is still pretty pricey and you're limited to a 5" stretch.

The way I red it is the one that allows for the extra 5" also included the skidplate for $699 total.

Crawler? Extreme Gas Tank- TJ
SKU GST-2002
This is the Crawler? EXTREME Gas Tank to fit a TJ (1997-current). It is specifically designed to allow the rear axle to be moved back up to 5" (4" on Dana 60) to strech the Wrangler wheelbase for greater stability on big tires.

Each tank is made from 1/8" thick Aluminum alloy and includes a matching heavy duty 3/16" thick skid plate.

Internal baffles reduce fuel movement and keep fuel near the pick up.

1" more ground clearance than stock.

20.0 gallon fuel capacity

All Crawler fuel tanks are designed to accept all the stock Jeep fuel pump/sensor and other related equipment so you will not get any check engine lights or other engine computer issues.

Patent Pending.

NOTE: Because of shape and location changes, installation of this product may require changes to the exhaust tail pipe.

I wonder how that middle one would look just mounted in the tub as a fuel cell? seems like it would look pretty cool as a fuel cell.

Pretty expensive for just a cell though. You could save a few hun by sticking with common brand.

I wonder what they use for baffling. You hear horror stories about the foam baffles that some use, breaking down . If they were welded in place aluminum that woudl be cool.
