well since we didn't get any real rain and we all know the whole state will be closing soon I wanted to get a urban mall crawl going to get us used to it, seek out new obstacles, maybe we can stack up parking curbs etc......
all next week if anyone wants to come by our shop and crawl the asphalt, we'll be their between 9am and 6pm, airdown spot is right out front, suggested equipment, small street tires(I find them to work best on asphalt)
2wd capable and extremely low ground clearance, again this is unmarked territory so who knows what obstacles we'll come across, so bring spare parts, lunch and a camera!!:D

Just to conquer the top of this rock, highlighted in red for your viewing pleasure. Don't underestimate that li'l rock! It tried its DARNEDEST to get stuck in between the tread in my front tire in a blatant attempt to deny me thepleasure of crawling on top of it. Alas, I prevailed. You can imagine my sense of pride and accomplishment! :) We had to memorialize it in a picture, of course.

So, maybe if you put some of those li'l rocks in front of your shop people could come play on them too without having to go out to the desert and enjoy the same sense of je ne sais quois that I did that day. Brings a tear...

The way things are going the streets in Mesa will soon qualify for a trail rating of at least a 2.5. I would recommend at least 31" tires if you are going to drive anywhere downtown. I think I've already seen some rock stacking just to get through some of the pot holes.

Better get Todd out there so he can organize a de-rocking session in Mesa.

Nick,
Your idea must be good... I tried to stop by today to check some pricing and couldn't find a parking spot. Your lot was just too technical for me. I'll have to come back next week.
