Well I gave up wheeling for a day to go to the land use meeting and now I'm having withdrawals so I need to go wheeling. :)

If anybody is interested in going to Hackberry Creek Monday let me know.

No stock Jeeps allowed unless it's a Rubicon.

Thanks!

Mike

I gave up my day of wheeling too and because my meeting I was at since 7pm ended about a 1/2 hour ago, I lost tomorrow too most likely.

Not sure if the drive in the AM on monday might be good for me but I'll consider it.

A stock Jeep with stock tires? Maybe if the driver is experienced and doesn't mind stacking rocks or damage to the undercarriage. Besides I don't want to be out there all day helping along a stock Jeep.

No, but I'm sure I'll ask you a few times if this is going to be an all day run. I just like to see how big that vein on your forehead can get :D

Turned out to be a great day for wheeling. Jim and I ran Hackberry Creek today. We were the only ones out on the trail except for the mining company doing some drilling operations. A new one sprung up since the last time I was out there. Other than the drilling it was a perfect day. We even saw a family of Javalina. The trail has also had a lot of rock stacking done since the last time. Must be those stock jeeps running the trail. If you want to see some beautiful scenery on a fun trail, let me know. This trail may not be around in the future by the looks of the drilling operations going on there. I guess you just can't beat the rich foriegn copper companies. At least they had an american flag flying on the drill rig.

I don't have much to add, so I'll just echo Mike's comments. It was just about perfect as far as the weather goes. It was nice just having two jeeps as we spent some time exploring the area for petroglyphs (sp?). Didn't find any new ones, but it was fun looking. All in all, a nice relaxing day on the trail.

I need 35's. All the cool kids have them

It was a nice change of pace to run the creek backwards. Kept things interesting and provided new views of the scenery.

That Javelina is tough to spot..... I think I found it though. I won't ruin it for everyone else though, but if you're curious, HIGHLIGHT below for answer.

Hackberry Creek is located east of Superior. With all the stacking that has been done on the trail lately you should have no problem. Let me know when you want to go I'll be happy to run it with you, I never get tired of that trail.

Glad to see those tires being put to good use Mike. I'd love to get up to PHX soon and run some of these trails with you guys...looks like fun... Sometimes the exploration is the worthwhile part of the trip....
