Sunday, I rolled over 50,000k miles on my rig. I ordered around Jun of '02 and picked it up 1st of Sept from the dealer, as the first Rubicon delivered to Dallas-Fort Worth.
THe trans and transfer case have had one oil change, due to possible water ingestion, but otherwise they have functioned fine. If replacement is required, Atlas II 5.0 for the TC and rebuild the NV 3550 trans.
Clutch is still stock and has been smoked several times in Moab on Hell's Revenge but still works works fine and shows no sign of needing to be replaced. I will replace with a LuK Gold when needed.
Steering box, is getting a little loose but otherwise works fine in spite of pushing 37's around for most of its life. I will replace with a stock unit. the '03 up unit is a MB unit.
Warranty work:
In the dealer for the rear view mirror temp readout not working. Fixed and works good to this day. Didn't work correctly upon purchase.
Drivers side, rear axle broke, warranty repair. 6th month of service.
Leaking pinion seal, replaced under warranty. 3rd month of service.
Other than that, there has been no other warranty service.
More to come over the next 50k miles and a big thanks to my ole Jeep, Cowboy, next oil change is on me.:D
