I just got a copy of this Draft plan also and will spend some time this weekend going through it. This is a very important meeting and again they set up the meetings within 2 weeks of sending out the draft. Comments are due on April 5th so we have some time for that.
They set up the meetings with very little time for us to go through the plan so they do not have to answer hard questions.
If any of you need some light reading go to this page.

Please make time to make at least one meeting.

I don't know these areas, but from reading the report, it looks like their preferred Alternative E is "middle of the road" so to speak, and the one they're gunning for anyways. What's your take on this? Does it close areas we consider important to jeeping?
Personally, I'd like to see them increase recreational use, including OHV, as they speak of in Alternative B. Don't know how realistic that is, but recreational use is just going to be more in demand as population grows - they may as well prepare for it.

Okay Folks, We need A LOT of support for OHV at this meeting tonight. Table Mesa is one of the most heavily used OHV areas for all of us in Phoenix. We need to show our support.

I was at the meeting. I forgot to wear my red shirt to work today, but I figured I would rather participate in a Hawaiian shirt than miss out. Even though there wasn't a HUGE turnout from the OHV groups, it was cool to see more people there with OHV interests than the groups that want to close all lands to everyone except their small interest.

Nice to meet you tonight Ron. Yes, we had an okay turnout. Just OKAY. Thanks to all of you who did take the time.
We really need more people at these meetings. I have a hard time believing more people can't afford just an hour or two out of their hectic lives once or twice every few months to contribute to what we all want to see continue -- OHV access.
I did not go intending to speak but with the few numbers figured it would help.

Well I was not very impressed with the turnout of the OHV groups (AZVJC included) for one of the best wheeling areas in the United States. If you stay home form all these meetings please never ask the question why we lose trails! Even for a short notice meeting I had hoped for 30 to 40 red shirts at the meeting in Deer Valley. We got about 15:( and it was all the same old people that show up and represent us every time. While we do a good job we could do a better job if the room was filled with Red Shirts. This would give us more power to push the BLM to consider our side first. We need a lot more people to show up at the rest of the meetings. If Table Mesa and for that matter Black Canyon City, Wickenberg, Congress are areas you want to wheel get off your butt and go to a meeting. There will be a post in the Land Use section in a couple minutes that you can read and add to and be able to use these same points and either speak up in the meeting or do a written comment.
Everyone that spoke tonight I need your comments added to this forum (http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=11683) and everyone that speak at any meeting add your comments. They will be sent to Blue Ribbon Coalition They will help us IF WE GET OFF OUR BUTTS AND HELP OURSELVES.

Just got back from the meeting. It was a dismal turnout from this group, to say the least.
So many of you use the Table Mesa area, as well as the rest of the area included in this RMP. Where were you tonight??? Do you all not care about the future of your "sport", or did you have something better to do??
It's really gonna suck when you show up at your favorite wheelin spot, only to find it closed.
It's not to late, though, for you to speak up. Follow the links in this thread to make your comments heard. And, show up at the next meeting.........before it's too late.

Anyone up for maybe running down to the Tucson meeting? Will give us more time to fully read and view the maps for a better prepared statement. Maybe we can get a few of us to go and carpool?
