what is the best way to waterproof the electrical for your jeep? what kind of things do i need to make sure i dont get shorts or things of the sort. i have a 94 yj and ive run into electrical shorts twice now and its after i play in the mud. any advice is appreciated. thanks in advance

I have used Silicone on the plug wires and cap to help keep water out. Good luck.

You can make them water resistant, but waterproof is hard to say the least. Best best is to leave them alone and carry some water displacement solution with you if you anticipate getting wet.

that's a fancy way of saying WD-40.

i spray any electrical parts w/ WD-40. Haven't had a problem yet...

Even dive watches no longer say water proof. They say water resistant. That being said I would think that marine distrubutors and other parts would be helpful.
