Okay... I am sure this has been hashed out before... I cant seem to find ANY information.
Well... I am in the process of a rebuild on my Jeep. In the meantime I thought about upgrading my transfer case. Well... I got to looking at Suzuki Samurai stuff... Didn't look into it a whole lot... But... the cases seem to be good for the guys that are running them... I like the fact that you can get up to 6.4:1 gears for half the price of a 4:1 for a Jeep.
Now, I will be running a 4 cyl/3spd auto with 35's MAYBE 37's in the future. Now I was wondering if there is a way to mate a suzuki case to the Jeep 3 spd case??? There are adapters for everything else so why not this... someone please tell me I am stupid and why I cant do this... That is all I need to hear so I can sleep easy tonight!
Thanks!

Ok, you are stupid. Did that help that two people agreed???
Sorry could not refuse...
I second that, Advanced Adapters seems to make them for just about everything. They don't always have their website up to date so you may need to call.
Would be interesting to hear how it would work. Also wondering if the drive line of the Sami can work with the extra HP and torque of the Jeep set up without harm to the mechanics of the Sami t-case. Anyone have any info as to if the Sami t-case will hold up to this?

I know a common swap is throwing a Vortec 4.3 into a Sammi, but don't know if they utilize the stock T-case.

Turtle, Turtle, Turtle................all sammies came with divorced Transfercases, the sidekick and tracker camw with attached transfercases.
The divorced case is the easiest to retrofit and 3:1 and 6.5:1 kits are available, they are actually very stout little units all gear driven.......stock they are passengers side drop but might be made to drivers side with a bit of work
both the front and rear outputs on all of them are inline to the side......so if you where to run quaadratrac D44's oout of a waggy they would line up perfectly with the outputs on the sammy case........to use you would need a 2x tranny or make an adapter plate with seal for a slip joint jack shaft on the 4x adapter..........I was gonna do the same thing and researched it quite a bit.
