The other day while roaming the aisles of COSTCO I came across this little gem. The ‘Gillette, Fusion Power’ http://www.gillette.com/men/index_fusion.htm battery powered shaving system which emits gentle ‘micro-pulses’ for an incredible shaving experience. Therefore, without hesitation, I picked it up.
Today being Sunday and my normal day to do some always needed personal bodily maintenance, which includes a good shave. That said, perhaps a bit ‘o background is in order:
Somewhere in my misdirected youth I came, face-to-face with, explosion followed by a fireball, and like so many times, I lost. I arrived in Germany at an Army hospital for several weeks worth of doctors trying to make the best of a bad thing. When all was said and done, I came out ok, but with a few drawbacks. Skin thinner than a 25-cent rubber and sensitive to soap, sun, and anything else that touched it. To this day, I have to medicate it every morning. Therefore, not only a good shave, but also comfortable one is important to me.
First time this face saw a shave it was the Gillette Super Blue blade in a safety razor. This setup gave true meaning to the phrase ‘all I want is a close shave not a self-sacrifice’. Each day’s shaving ritual left one looking like a Jap whose Hara-kiri went bad.
Therefore, it was with much eagerness that I looked forward to shaving with a razor that contained 5, count’um, 5 shaving blades and 1 trimming blade. All vibrating faster than my last girlfriend’s ‘personal massage device’ after she hooked it to an Optima Yellow top. WOW could she dance.
So today I shaved with it and my expectations were and met and then some. You get a shave that leaves your face as soft as a baby’s butt. Then flip it over and there is the trim blade great for sideburns and that hard to get just under the nose area.
It gives you one hellva shave and with 5 blades it just might outlast your current razor.
While we are on this subject:
Some time ago, I discovered a shaving gel that is the best I have ever used. It’s called the ‘King of Shaves’ www.shave.com and I haven’t had anything on my face that slippery since I had that job as a slit lubricator. This stuff works and will give you the smoothest shave you have ever had. It is imported from England and I often find it at Walgreen’s and Target. I prefer the menthol.
Enjoy.:)
