So after the clean up was postponed, I came across a trip that Rick Beer put up (Raw Deal). Since I've never wheeled with Rick or any of his son's before, I thought this would be a fun way to spend some of the day.
We met at the airdown spot around noon and they broke out the toys:

That little thing can climb and flex with the best of them.
after everyone was aired down, we hit Raw Deal. We took a way in that I had never done before with a few ledges so that was a pleasant suprise.
Here's my favorite little Rubi on one of them:

Here's Rick flexing out on a ledge where the cracks begin:

Kevin and his Yota caught up with us here after running it backwards to catch up with us. Here's a shot of most of the group working their way through:

Here's a new guy to the club, Tony working it up a crack with CJ helping a little:

Here's the Rubi getting some air:

Here's CJ and Kevin going up the right side of the last little obstical on Raw Deal. I was able to get through too:

So after we finish Raw Deal, Kevin and I decided to say our goodbyes and well wishes to CJ (Happy B-Day again!!) and head to Predator. To all the naysayers out there saying I'd get in over my head... fooie to you, lockers... who needs em'!! hehehehehe. I never needed a strap, and I believe I took only one bypass (if you want to call it that) to an obstical. This trail is a blast and I have to thank Kevin for his good spotting and Lindsey for her awesome pics, she's got a good eye!!!
Here's Kevin working his way through, lining himself up for a waterfall:

Flexing it out:

Working the way through the little chute:

This line seems to be the only way out really. I guess you could try to go up more on the right side but it seems you'd end up on your side or have a lot of body damage dragging yourself through there:

Flexy Yota man. His toy rocks:

Here's me finishing the chute getting some air:

Going up the rock face:

Bad Arse flex:

After this, then we got really brave:

;) ;) ;)
Here's my favorite pic of the day. It's not a flower or pretty cloud or what not but it stood out to me as I was going through the album from todays events. Yes, it is of me but I like how it came out. It is right after doing Airhole and how I parked it:

Overall it was a great day with some awesome people. Hopefully no one scared Tony enough not to come back. :D

Ok, for the last time peoples!!!!!!!
It's a ZJ Tie Rod
:D :D :D
They look like that, check out Stu's site for the write up on it. ;)
I've had it now for 4+ years and it's done nothing but kick butt.
But I have aquired a alumiflex tie rod that I will be putting on the Jeep at some point and the ZJ one will become my spare.

How was the river, any mud?
CJ did to play in the mud He did manage to get stuck & had to winch him out
gave some ATVer's a show on how to retrive a buried Jeep in the river
On another note a young kid was Air vaced out came around a bend & hit a full size blazer almost head on from what I hear he will be ok
Daisy Mountain rescue had to be towed out.... seems the tranny on the Ambulance could not handle the terrain

Yea, we came across those Daisy Mt guys and they told us the same thing. Said the kid will "probably" live.
Glad he found some mud. :D Did you end your day on that note?
