Yea baby!!!! Talk about how beautiful the desert is with a full moon, it was almost like another landscape. Too bad the dust was so thick when wheeling that you couldn't just turn off your lights and let the moonlight light your path.
After getting a late start (stupid Rt. 60!!!!) 9 of us ventured off into Upper Woodpecker. We had two stock Rubi's one of which was an Unlimited, a bunch of short wheel based Jeeps and a Wagoner and XJ to round off the rest. A great turn out and the weather wasn't bad, it only got cold to me at the very end of the trial. All you "it's gonna be too cold" wussies missed out on a great time.
Here are a few pics, unfortunately I can't take pics worth a damn at night:

Cause I'm horrible with names, I kept calling this guy "Stock Rubi" as he was in front of me the whole trip. I have to talk about this guy for a second. For the fact the hardest trail he's been on before this by his admission, was Crown King, he really knows how to drive this thing. He was a bit timid at first but towards the end, he was really branching out and testing his skills. This was his 3rd trail in the Jeep (he did part of Hackberry Creek last week with me) and he really has come a long way.

The XJ in a bit of a quandary all twisted up. Took a strap to finally get him out of the little mess.

Here's the XJ again on the V-Notch.

Only one person caught air there, the red Unlimited:

Here he is after re-evaluating the situation and trying a different line:

Overall I had a great time with great people. I'm glad everyone came along this evening and I can't wait to do it again the next full moon!! :D
