After you guys headed out, Tom, Andrew, Brian and myself headed further
back to the same place we did last time. Then we hiked down to that large crack for a look.

On the way back out, we caught up to the Dust Devil group at the V-notch and we all continued
out from there as a group. When we got back to that optional notch near the start of the trail,
Andrew and Tom drove up it, followed by two of the Dust Devils.

I hope Jerry made it to his event on time. He did a great job today.

It's the Bulldog Canyon area, off Apache Trail in Apache Junction. There is a locked gate, so you need to get the permit from the Mesa Ranger disctrict and they will give you the lock codes for a 6 month period. Any one on the trail needs a permit too.

Very fun time Bruce!! Thanks for the great spotting.

Good pics, Bruce (Lisa)!

And what a great time yesterday. Started a bit slow and frustrating, but we got things moving and everyone did a great job.

Hey Bruce - that optional obstacle has your name written all over it next time we're out there. You can do it!

Nice meeting you guys out there (I was leading the Dust Devil run that you met at lunch time). Love that trail, a bit of something for everyone.

That tube beast that Langley built is an odd one, isn't it  ? Can't wait to see what he does with it after it gets dialed in (and gets a front locker). If you look closely, you can see the 60's era Chevy pickup buried in there :D

Last time I did that obstacle I laid it on the roll bar. I just repainted that part of the roll bar the night before. I wanted to at least let the paint dry before rubbing it off again. :D
I'll do it next time. And I'll do the easy line, or should I say the correct line you took. My way makes for a great kodak moment though. Scared the crap out of Lisa when we laid it over. It was her side. She wasnt to happy with me.

I think Tom is talking about the optional nasty notch near the beginning of the trail - the one you drove into (a few trips ago) over the first small ledge, then did a 10 point turn to turn around and get out of when you saw how gnarly it was ;)
