Greetings,
I am new to the Tucson area, and I am interested in getting my Jeep out for some four wheeling. I recently moved here with the Air Force from Alaska. I am fairly experienced in four wheeling and I have a fairly capable rig. However, I do not really know the trails around here. I drove out Reddington Rd. today to marker FS 4436. I ran the trail in alone for a ways, but decided to turn back due to my lack of knowledge of the trail and being alone. I am hoping that I can generate some interest in running Chivo Falls this coming Saturday. I'd like to get out to wheel, and also to meet some of the locals.
Here are a couple of shots from today.

There are some Tucson folks on here, but most are from the Phoenix area. Aside from posting here, you can post a trip on the AZVJC website http://www.azvjc.org for Chivo Falls and in your post mention that you are new to the area and would like someone to lead the run. Then wait and see who signs up.

Thanks for pointing me in a better direction. Hopefully, I'll be up in Phoenix to run this summer....

Welcome Georgia! I retired from the Airforce out of DM myself. There are several great folks from tucson in this club that would be glad to show you some trails down there. Lonnie and Roger (Lowtech) are just a couple of them. Give them a PM or like Matt said post a trip on this site or the old site. Welcome aboard! Hope to wheel with you soon!:)

Thank you for the welcome. I look forward to running with you guys in the near future. Lonnie has already PM'd me with the intentions of running with me in the future...apparently, his rig is busted at the moment... I've posted the trip planning on the old site, and hopefully, I can get at least one or two to sign up. I REALLY need out of the house....

Usually I'd be more then happy to go with ya, however I have the front of my Jeep apart and there is no way I can get it back up and running by this weekend as I'm working through Sunday :( . Lonnie & I run the Gap & Falls all the time so I'll get in touch with you as soon as I'm running again :) .
