I'm in the middle of installing a www.tntcustoms.com LA lift on my 2000 XJ and could use a hand or two. If you have a portable plasma cutter & welder you could bring over that would be most excellent. The jeep is currently undrivable. Not really a huge issue, but the wife would like it done and out of the garage. I was thinking about working on it Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday and into Monday. I'll have a few cold beverages and maybe even pizza or fire up the BBQ. If you have X-mas goodies to install I don't see why we couldn't go wrench crazy. I'm in Chandler. PM me if you are interested.
Here are a couple of pics. Martin

Yeah, but a plasma cutter would offer a lot more style points. :D One day my wife will let me get a plasma cutters...then I will be a complete and whole man. ;)

How far up on the motorside do I have to cut. I see the LCA mount goes pretty far up on that side.

Have I removed enough of the LCA mount to continue?

Well I cut the LCA's as far as I could stomach, welded the stiffeners and test fit the belly pan.

Just waiting for the primer to dry and I'll install the arms, brake lines and axle. Thanks to everyone who helped. Anyone have a name of a good alignment shop and/or driveline shop for me?

you need to finush cutting off the inside of the brackets, striaght in line with the edge of the folded flap of metal on the frame, its about 3/4" wide I would guess from the vertical plane of the frame to the inside

I cut it to almost as if the factory never installed the LCA's and approx 1/4" wide all the way down the seam, but leaving the spot welds intact. I just finished installing the belly pan, arms, brake lines and axle.

Still have to bleed the brakes, align it, relocate the emergency brake cable bracket, fab up extended rear BS, install the JKS discos, fill the TC, get 6 degree shims instead of 4 (I think  ), measure for the rear DS, buy some bigger tires, figure out my shock lengths and trim the fenders. I'm sure there is more, but I'm just working through it.

I could use a suggestions for where to get the alignement done. It would be nice if someone who knows can tell me exactly how to figure out which shims I need and can I borrow a forklift to figure out which shocks to go with? :D
