Ok, here's what I got.
When turning the wheel to the left I get a pretty autible "pop" then when turnign the wheel to the left I get a less autible "pop". This was done when in my parking spot at my apartment after wheeling today.
I also kept hearing a clunk right under my feet while wheeling and actually stopped at one point to examine the new DS I got up front but it's not that. Bolts are tight there too. I'm thinking at this point it is one of those mystery sounds that really can't be found.
As for the pops though, after wheeling while airing up I checked out the front end and everything was tight and the u-joints looked fine, no lost caps. It seems like something is binding though I just don't know where to look.
So with that info, anyone have a clue? I've got the stock drag link and a ZJ tie rod, HD adjustable track bar from RE and stock everything in the way of the D30.

Check out your trackbar where it's attached to the axle. It might be loose or your bushing maybe worn. That happened to me and I just had to tighten up a bit.

Huh??? Long day? :D
Sounds like ball joint/s but could be a host of things. You need to listen/look for noise while a friend turns the wheel slowly back and forth. Anything is a guess at this point without more testing.

HAd the same thing it was my tracbar at the frame. Not to sure on your set up but if your running a drop bracket for your tracbar check that. Also check the end where it mounts to the frame. If you still can not find it. start up the jeep get a helper and turn it lock to lock with the weight on the wheels and start looking for something that is poppin you will see it my trac bar when it would do it would be tight but you would turn it and "pop" finally found it with some help from the wife.:D

Yea, forgot to hit spell check. :o LOL
Well I plan to hit TM tomorrow with a few others. Maybe a quick listen can hopefully determing somethign easy to fix. I'd hate to miss a day of wheeling cause a bolt came loose. :o Though everything really does seem tight under there when I was pulling on stuff.
And I am running the drop bracket for the track bar.

The track bar will seem tight when you shake it but you will see it move when you turn the wheel back and forth.

wats spell check   :D
Like Eric said, it could be a few things up front. But most of the time it seems to be that the track bar came loose.

Ok, we'll check the track bar tomorrow before the run then. I'm hoping to do Predator. ;)

Turning your wheel on a hard pack such as asphalt parking lot while your rig is stationary is not a good way test. Go to soft pack if your sitting still.
Clunk or pop under feet:
* DS u joint.
* Upper or lower frame mount CA bushings, can be linked to front bushings. If OEM bushing, can be 'squeezed' out a bit and cause some loosesness.
* Track Bar bushings will most often manifest itself in a steering issues @ about 45-50 mph early on and if bushings are really bad Death Wobble.
* Ball joint will manifest itself as loose or a clunk in steering when driving.
Chances are it is a OEM bushing 'squeeze' or a deformed poly bushing.

Hehe....spell check has nothing to do with it. :D According to your original post; you turned left twice to check it. ;) Just busting your chops.

So instead of two left feet she has two left front tires??? :D
Ok, bad joke...
I would look hard at the mounts for your control arms, check the welds they have been known to fail from time to time.

Actually upon testing it today out at the air down spot in TM... Jeff, Travis and myself concluded it is my steering pump. Thing is there isn't any slop and there isn't any visible liquid. You can feel the pop on the bumper over the box and on the skid.
Wheeled and drove fine though.
Also so touch on my fan shroud issue, after hearing the fan catching the shroud for most of Terminator, one well placed rock smack on the stock skid solved that problem. :D

My sector shaft in the steering box does the same thing but not as bad. I've actually seen quite a few Jeep boxes make this noise with larger tires. It wouldn't hurt to retorque everything down in the steering anyways. I'm sure things have settled in since we installed the lift.

After we thought it was the track bar I broke out my trust new tools and torx bit and the darn thing didn't even budge. :D
As for the noise, that's what Jeff said and I have some faith that he's got a bit of a clue so I ran it and was fine.

Speaking of "Death Wobble" I'm getting one right between 50 and 55 mph, speeding up or slowing down. (I hate it when traffic slows down to that magic range!) Just had the tires rotated, it made no difference.
I have an '04 Unlimited, 2" blocks. QD's are connected, can see anything wrong. Other than the blocks, I'm stock. I'm running 31" MTRs, at road pressure. I've run the thing up on a pair of ramps, crawled under it and looked close - don't see anything wrong or missing, and everything appears to be in the right place.
Any ideas what to look for next?

Did you get it aligned after putting on the 2" blocks installed? Your tow in on the front could be up to a 1/2" which will give you death wobble and wear your tires out very quickly.

Harmonics! Jeeps develop harmonics in about the 45-55 mph range, give or take a bit. Its just a Jeep thing and not much you can do abut it. But you can reduce the impact that the harmonics has upon your system.
As mention above, insure your toe is set in about 1/16". Easy to do at home in your driveway.
Rotate and balance all tires.
Replace steering stablizer with a good HD one such as the Rancho. Max 4x4 has them for about $45 bucks or so. Call Kevin, http://www.max4x4.com/
