Hey Pete,
You are about due for a new front bumper anyway right?
I was thinking a person could make a front bumper that; is an air
tank, mounts for a winch, and spots for 2 big D hooks. Now then, you
make a tow bar (A frame) such that when you remove the D hooks you
have a place to mount the tow bar (on the front of the Jeep).
Also, you could wire the lights with a diode in each circuit and run
a wire harness up front. The diodes would pertect the circuits in the
Jeep and still allow you to use the rear lights.
I know you are handy and if you decide to do these projects let me
know, I would want to do it to my Jeep and I could crunch the numbers
on the bumper material.

After talking to the owner yesterday about my rim situation. He
agreed to replace them all with the correct rims at no charge to me.
I will probably get it done tommorrow. He was gracious but on the
verge of not wanting to do anything for me.
Any, as a curtousy to him I told him I would tell all you about 4
chrome mods they will have a Big-O, Chandler, AZ Ave. They are 15x"7"
5-4.5, a few scratches on them, but straight. He didn't really say
what they would want for them, but if you call on about Friday they
should know.
Thanks agian all of you for your help/advise.

Jon you have many ideas now as to what to do with the Bludere
stickers. here is my idea.
JON
Have you ever been to Moab?
They make small little triangulr flags different colors for different
trails.
You could do the same with those decals.
Get something it will stick to and put the AZVJC stickrs on both
sides. you overlap the flag on the end and they will/would be placed
on each vehicle when you go out on trail runs.
Collect them at end of trip and use the every time you go trail
riding in a group.

Geroge,
I had a friend of mine install a set of rear discs from Stainless Steel
Brakes and it was not until he bypassed his proportioning valve did he get
the performance he was expecting.
He is an retired engineer and so he started calculating the hydraulic
pressures being generated by his CJ-7 master cyclinder, the volume of the
rear disc calipers....the hole "design thing". He found that they were
being grossly under powered....by about 50% of what was needed. The people
at Stainless, according to him, really didn't have a clue about what he was
talking about (ie., poor design team...if any) when he consulted them for
assistance.
Anyway, once he got that little problem taken care of, he can now safely
hold himself on the very steep hills in just 2WD...where before, these same
hills would cause his vehicle to start backwards and go into a skidding
rollover.

Raw Deal is a short trail (1.2 miles) that begins and ends in a wash. It offers a little bit of something for everybody. Many of the obstacles can be taken with varying degrees of difficulty, and a couple can be bypassed. As is the case with many AZ trails, it is best if accompanied by someone who has ran the trail before. There are a few spots were a good spotter will be appreciated. The are several bedrock "cracks" to negotiate, as well as a few rock ledges, varying sized boulders, etc.
Remember to bring your camera and Water.

Bulletproof has a towbar that I'm going to order that bolts to my D ring mounts. You could build your own towbar and bumper easily. All you need to buy is the coupler.

Any, as a curtousy to him I told him I would tell all you about 4

Your fine, I went through open-diffed 31" T/As, and my gf went
through open-diffed with 33"MT, both with 3" susp lift on on a TJ.
Neither one of us need strapped or anything, and she had no rock
crawling experience. Raw Deal is the perfect trail to cut your teeth
on rock-crawling, no pun intended.

to learn how to do that on? I wont need rock sliders will i??

wash. It offers a little bit of something for everybody. Many of the
obstacles can be taken with varying degrees of difficulty, and a
couple can be bypassed. As is the case with many AZ trails, it is
best if accompanied by someone who has ran the trail before. There
are a few spots were a good spotter will be appreciated. The are
several bedrock "cracks" to negotiate, as well as a few rock ledges,
varying sized boulders, etc.

Yeah, I recognized your mug. I was slow to respond since I'm not used to
being up that early. Maybe this job thing is not all its cracked up to be.
Unemployment had its advantages.

Bulletproof has a towbar that I'm going to order that bolts to my D ring mounts. You could build your own towbar and bumper easily. All you need to buy is the coupler.

Hey Pete,
You are about due for a new front bumper anyway right?
