If you're talking about Friday as in *tomorrow* (2/23), you better check
for weather forecast again. The forecasts on the Ch. 5, 10 and 15 news
at noon today all called for rain.

Taking someone's advice, BTW thanks for the ideas, "the squeeky
grease gets the wheel" or something like that; anyway I contacted
corporate office of Big-O via email. Yesterday, I got a call from
corporate promissing to take care of the situation. Plus, I stoped by
the Big-O in Tempe and talked to the manager (Steve), the guy that
sold me the spare, and he said he would contact the owner of the Big-
O, Chandler (Arizona Ave) and put a good word in for me.
Meanwhile I will sit here and wait for the hands of time to turn on
this.

I want to go on the run tomorrow but will an open CJ7 have any problems? I
see the trail rating of 3.5.
It is scheduled to rain starting tonight continuing tomorrow but that would
make it more fun.

Subject: TJ D35C Axle Upgrade?

So to all the TJ owners who have upgraded their D35C axles, with just
new axles (not new tubes, carriers, etc)...what are you running?

This is a very critical and necessary upgrade for my TJ, so I was
wondering what the best option is.

I have the 4cyl with no engine mods, am running 33s but will be up to
35s in the summer (after some other mods). Also running a
Lockright, and would like to keep it if possible.

I've seen the Super 35 kit, but I already have a locker. I'm not
going to invest in another locker yet, as when I do it will be an ARB
but cannot afford that yet.

What other options are there to replace the D35C with a stronger axle?

Also, what other mods would I have to do, or can it be a straight
replacement.

Any help is appreciated.

-- Complete Dana 35C rear axle from a 94 YJ. Drum to drum, 3.55 gears,
working Tracklok, 86,000 miles on unit. Will be removed and available
this weekend. Despite the miles, this rear is in damn good condition.
Make a reasonable offer.

I don't feel 100% comfortable doing it myself. I've been quoted $350 - $400

I'd be willing to help. I've done the Tera 3 inch lift, but never done an RE

the internet that do this and it works out for not only the experienced, but
also the unexperienced. They can learn for the time when they do their own.

Subject: Re: Re: OT: Computer firewall

I've been on Cox for a couple of years. When I first got on it was
amazing the amount of people that had their drives open to the outside
world. My wasn't since I had closed it down and was running NT.
Shortly after I started with Cox I installed a Linux based
firewall/masqurade server. It has been hacked once. At the time it was
hacked I kept telling myself that I needed to upgrade it to the latest
release, I was running a 2.0.38 kernel system and at the time they were
up at 2.2.10. I'm now running the newer system and have set a couple up
for other people. One of the people I set it up for met someone on a
chat group that claimed he could be into it in 5 minutes, The person
never got in and commented on how secure it was.

I'm trying to make a couple points here. First if you what ever you use
for a firewall you need to keep it current with all the latest patchs or
you become vulnerable. The second point is that putting something in
front of your main machine is the best way to go. First they have to
get into your firewall before they can even attempt to access your main
machine. The final point is that windows is the least secure option
available even with the bandaid firewall software. Start with something
that is basicly secure like Unix, Linux or the new DSL/Cable Routers and
then tighten it up from there then when you think you have it tight got
to places like Shields up to get external scans and get friends that
have unix machines run NMAP scans against your firewall to see if you
missed anything.

If anyone wants a port scan of their machine send me a private email and
I'll run NMAP on it an let you know the results. NMAP will pickup
things that Shields up misses.
