I run a mechanical, clutched fan with my stock
radiator. Ive hit 230 in the summer before but it
usually stays cool enough.

I have a set of great TJ fenders that want to sell or trade for two front
CJ7 fenders (8steel fenders).

I was going to add them to my CJ but decided on another setup.

I don't have a good reference to pass along as to where to get them, but I was curious as to what you are attaching the shoulder harness straps to.

I had a noise that started from my tranny this weekend which is a loud metal
to metal scraping. I was going to take it to get worked on tomorrow...but
on my way home from work today it has become nearly impossible to shift.
the clutch petal used to be full (i could press it in 1/2in and still shift
and brake fine) now i have to slam it to the floor AND rev the engine to
get the tranny to slip into gear...and it still grinds when i shift. the
noise is even louder now. and all of this happened driving from work to
home which is like 11miles...and about 10,000 stoplights. I dont think I
could manage to drive the jeep all the way back to work to get it
fixed...any ideas on what might be wrong?? i need to get it running again.

after it cools down i am going to go out and check the oil level in the
tranny....it is a T18 in a 73cj5

thanks,
kevin

Hey Folks

I picked up a hard top for my CJ5 and I need some new hardware. The top
is an ACME with doors. Does anyone have any info on this manufacturer?
Are they still around, where are they, who was the distributor etc? I
need to get the door latch mechanisms for both doors. Are there any
other places I can look for these? Thanks for your help.

Here are some pictures from the Mud Springs Trail. Steve and I were the
tail gunners so all he took was pictures of my ZJ, Mike's Bronco and
Chad's Jeep. And the group picture at the end of the trail.

There are several shots of the Bronco getting pulled back on the trail.
Steve watched the road edge crumble under the truck.

Dude- You're going to have to park it along side your house so you
can jump off the roof, fly in through the top and land on the seat
like how the cowboys used to jump onto their horses.

Then how are you going to get out? You'll have to tip it over and
crawl out the top.

12: memory standby power lost (battery cable diconnected less than 50
cycles ago)
33: air conditioning clutch relay open or shorted (or not present)
21: oxygen sensor signal out of range
22:Coolant sensor signal out of range (or disconnected to set timing)
51: Oxygen sensor stuck at lean position
55: end of codes

Get a new O2 sensor, they're easy to install and cost around $70. That'll
also help your engine start faster (you probably have to crank it a long
time to get it started right now.) Maybe you dont have air conditioning?
Maybe you need to replace the coolant temp sender too. The other bad news
is that you need to find a shop to reset the dashboard lamp ... (requires
the computer diagnostic tool)
Good luck!
