I found this interesting. The State Land Trust is undergoing or considering some reform. Absolutely nowhere is there mention that I can see special interest groups for OHV.

What is the ASA4WD doing to get our voice heard? I know that the VJC is not a real club therefore does not pay dues, but I know many of us here do pay dues to other clubs and therefore support ASA4WD.

Anyone from ASA4WD here care to comment?

Thanks,

Barry

I'm sending a copy to the AZOHVC (www.azohvc.org) - the Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Coalition - just in case they don't already know about it.

Cool, thanks. I am not wired in nor educated on who is supposed to be doing what, and don't want to interfere with measures already underway, but I do not wish to see opportunities missed due to things happening in back rooms. That site was the only place I saw reference to that activity.

This is the same scam they tried to pull in the last election the ASA4WDC and the AZOHVC are well aware of this and have been working against it as it is a greenie land scam. This is how some of the movers and shakers in Scottsdale are trying to get the rest of the McDowell Moutains. Scottsdale can not afford to buy them so they figure to change the way they are sold so they can get it cheap. All of the planning is in back rooms and the legislature will not pass it (as of now). Like last time it will end up on a ballot with big money telling lies to support it. If a meeting comes up I will do my best to let everyone know so we can all show up.

The date on that site is almost a year old, so maybe that info is from the last time? Either way, as long as our side is aware, we can fight it.

Yeah, the date on that particular note was January, but I found it a little bit alarming and hadn't heard much about it. Jim seems to have a good handle on the pulse of the situation which is reassuring, and I am sure others do as well.
