Check this out:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9900937/

MSNBC has an online poll going on about the recent forestry proposal. Basically, whether or not we should be able to access the forests for OHV use. Also see this thread for more details: http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=10145 .

This is not a scientific poll by any means, and certainly not official, but perhaps it will help in some small way. Maybe it won't do anything except crank up the MSN hit counter, who knows.

I actually believe we as OHV enthusiasts have more numbers than the special interest groups that would have us lose access, we're just not as vocal. Time to get vocal and active.

Thanks for posting that - I probably would have missed it otherwise.

Nearly 8000 votes when I checked it, running 71% in favor of OHV use - keep voting, it may not really mean anything, but ...

IMHO the poll is assinine.. and also IMHO everyone would be better off taking the time to read the USDA Press Release: http://www.fs.fed.us/news/2005/releases/11/travel-management.shtml and the "Final Rule" (pdf 122 pages) http://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/programs/ohv/final.pdf work with your local entities and your national supporters and draft individual letters to your federally elected officials and get on the ground mapping the trails you currently use.

Some discussion already started here: http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=10145

Again that's just my opinion as I believe the world to be a grey area some place between the two extremes of that poll.
