Takes you to the west to Minnehaha (no sign, must have been a
town once) and then you take a right and head north, northeast to
Hooper Saddle where you end up on the Senator Highway about 6
miles west of Crown King. If you look at a topo map
(www.topozone.com) of the area you will see the road. It is not
on the USGS topos as a Forest Service Road but Street Atlas shows
it as being FR 192 to Minnehaha and then you take FR 362 to
Senator Highway.
Hope this helps,
Ralph

I had the same problem with my 97TJ, about a year back. It was covered
by the warranty. They sent it out to someone that replaced the zipper
only, not replacing the entire window (which I had hoped for...you know,
window scratches and such). I took it to Earnharts on Rural/ Baseline,
and had no problems.

Subject: TR - Feb 10th - Martinez Canyon Maintenance Run

Just a reminder that the AZVJC Martinez Canyon maintenance run is this
Saturday, Feb 10. Meeting time is 9:00am at the Florence Junction Texaco.

We only have 3 definate and 1 tentative Jeeps signed up for this run. If you
are going, please sign up so we know who to expect/wait for. It would be
nice to have a few more helpers for this project.

For those who are new or did not see the original postings, we are going to
be filling in a deep washout on one of the switchbacks near the top. This
washout is becoming dangerous due to the fact that a roll out of washout
will mean a long trip to the bottom of the canyon.

I know Linda has volunteered some chain-link fence, posts and a post driver
to shore up the side. We'll also probably need some sledges to drive the
posts if the post driver can't and maybe some shovels. Can anyone think of
anything else we might want/need?

Also, for those that might want to help but are only up to the drive to
Martinez Cabin (2.5?), will anyone have an open seat in their Jeep in to the
canyon?

really). I'll register as tentative for now.

I agree with Scott. (Scott and I always seem to get the same upgrades) I have had a 9500 since they first came out. I bought the second one the Desert Rat in Tucson sold when they were new. The 9500 is worth the extra money.
Last summer we did a night run on the Charouleau Gap trail. It started to rain when we came to the STEP obstacle. Only a couple of us could climb up it and the rest had to have assistance. I winched up 10 vehicles in a row. My cable was a mess after that but the winch never even got warm. Any one who has climbed the STEP can tell you that it can be a mean SOB, especially when it is wet. So, it was no easy task getting that many up. I have seen the 8000's get so hot they had to rest after only a few pulls. Especially the Ramsey 8000's. The first time I used mine was in Moab, where I pulled several vehicles including a full size Toy pickup up White Knuckle. White Knuckle requires about 50 yards of pulling that includes a 15 ft cliff that is almost a 90% wall. I really doubt that an 8000 could have done that.
A 2000 TJ deserves the best, get a Warn 9500.

I've had a Warn HS9500i for about 6 weeks. In that time I've used it a dozen times to help other offroaders. Its a great winch and when your respooling the line you'll really appreciate the higher noload line speed. I highly recommend it. IMO an 8000 winch is a little on the light side. Yes it'll pull a Jeep, but usually you also need to overcome something its hung up on, and why does it ALWAYS seem as if your pulling uphill? Anyway, save your money and get the 9500. You won't be saying "Gee, I wish I had bought the 9500." sometime down the road when your trying to help pull fullsize Dodge Ram who's rear wheels are hanging off a cliff :) And you really need to spend the extra $150 to get the Warn accessories kit with the snatch block, chain, treesaver, d-ring, and gloves. About 50% of the pulls I've done so far have utilized the snatch block.

Scott,

I did find some snow that one Saturday a couple weeks back when I
went to Power Line Road east of Superior. Not real deep (about 3-4
inches), but everything was covered and it was nice to drive in.

I was just up in Martinez Canyon a few weeks back and I don't
remember any real bad washout, but I guess we'll see. Should be fun
doing some road repair.

See you,

I busted a rear shock mount off my Dad's 91' Wrangler rear axle tube. I have

Your best bet may be to just go to a fab shop and have them make you up on
and weld it on. O-R Fab on the west side is very good. Hunter Off-Road, on
the east side.

Ive got a TBI 350 in my CJ7. What do you want to know
exactly? Basically you've got to find the system.
Acquire a wiring harness (either a Howell or Painless
or just use a factory one) get a fuel pump and throw
it together. :) Just that easy. Not really. It
helps to have a access to a scanner when you are first
getting it running. Ill try and help you if you have
some more specific questions. Good luck!

Well, I hate to tell you to go through all the work to dig back in there but
um... you should! Mine was the same. I already had the 19 Gal. tank. What
I did though was to just pull that inner tube completly out. That still
leaves the out tubing to contain gas and fumes. You did see the inner and
outer tube right? You have to grab some pliers and pull on the lip of the
tub and that will start moving the inner tube out. Just be carefull not to
slip and make sparks!
